Inflation expectations have influence on CPI in the country a lot. This paper presents theoretical materials and methods for measuring inflation expectations on example of the Kyrgyz Republic. The level of inflation expectations is calculated on the basis of preliminary survey carried out among the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic experts and staff. The empirical part of this paper is based on the studies carried out by the staff of the National Bank of Poland, as well as the experience of the staff of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic. Presented in this paper material can become the basis for further, more in-depth study and quantify the impact of inflationary expectations of economic agents. In addition, a list of questions that might be included in a questionnaire for the survey of economic agents is available.
