The article deals with the relationship between the modern trends of the world economy, the growing number of transnational corporations (TNCs) and the quality of environmental management and management of environmental costs; an overview of the approach to the problem of environmental costs; marked by both positive and negative consequences of the transnationalization of industrial TNCs; shows the need for a comprehensive study of the problem of transfer of industrial sources of pollution from countries with a high efficiency of state environmental regulation and, as a consequence, a high level of environmental costs in countries with no or ineffective regulation; compliance with specified conditions of implementation of the principles of Internal Control and the environmental costs of externalities; the article presents the results of an analysis of the basic principles of environmental Internal and external costs of TNC conducted by the author on the basis of the actual body of sources presented in the international information-analytical systems.
