In modern conditions the transfer of Russian economy to the innovative way of development is particularly relevant in the use of development of the human capital theory. Special attention is paid to the refinement of the characteristics included in the concept of «human capital». The article also discusses the theoretical aspects of human capital management, which in General is a creation of favourable conditions for the formation, development, and human capital accumulation, with its subsequent use in the economy to achieve the results of innovative development.
