In today's economy, improving the efficiency of the freight is included in the priority areas of development, and it is impossible without reducing logistic costs. The competitiveness of the transport-forwarding company depends on the methods of logistics activities and modern trends of enterprise organizations necessitate development of logistics foundations during optimizing logistics transport-forwarding activity. Setting and further development of these problems determines the relevance and novelty of this research. In the course of the study were considered the basis of the concept of logistics freight forwarding activity; identified legal aspects regulating logistic activity; highlight features of formation of tariffs for cargo transportation; analyzed topical problems and prospects of the development of logistics activities in Russia. The Article developed and justified scientifically-methodical recommendations for the organization and improve the logistic activities of the transport-forwarding company «TK AvtoFors», St. Petersburg. As a result of study of the theoretical and practical foundations of organization activity of transport-forwarding company, authors concluded that the use of new information systems will make it possible to optimize all logistics operations, therefore, we offer project upgrade software company with the introduction of system GLONASS.

Optimization of logistics activities of transport-forwarding company
