The purpose of the study is scientific and methodical analysis of the organization of systems of transportation of cargo in intermodal traffic on the basis of a clear cooperation and coordination of various modes of transport. Objectives: To explore the basic concepts and structure of foreign trade cargo flows of mixed messages, the organization and management of the delivery of foreign trade cargo in intermodal transport; analyze the types of agreements, contracts and documentation related to transport of goods in the organization of intermodal transport; analyze the efficiency of cargo dealt with in the third chapter of the company; to develop recommendations to improve the quality and efficiency of the freight company. A study of the theoretical and practical bases of the organization of intermodal transport can be concluded about the importance of transportation in the international exchange of goods, such as the use of several types of transport, reducing the cost of delivery, the best accuracy and speed of delivery, environmental security, and others. In the process of studying the information on this topic proposed by various experts in the field of logistics and analysis of one of the leading companies in the market of international transport «DHL Express», the author made recommendations to improve the efficiency and optimization of logistic processes in the organization of intermodal transport.
