The review of practice of the Russian enterprises regarding formation of firm social packages as instrument of attraction and preservation of the personnel is presented in article. In the period of crisis economy the balance of the purposes – strengthening of motivation of employees at the expense of firm privileges and optimization of costs of a social package is important. On the example of the metallurgical enterprise the 4-landmark technique of the analysis of opinion of employees on the value of concrete social privileges for formation of an optimum package is shown. Methods of sociological poll, ranging and mathematical modeling are applied. Possibilities of increase of efficiency of a social package through correction of the list of public privileges which is enough to be presented in the form of 15 names are shown. Reducing the list of social privileges, the budget needs be not to reduced, and to redistribute, having refused insignificant and invaluable incentives. Efficiency of social expenses will increase change of an order of granting privileges through opportunities of a choice of a necessary package by each employee.
