Abstract. The article presents the analysis of the factors of institutional trust and its effects. It is shown that the main lines of political and economic analysis of trust are the study of the causes and effects of political and economic macro - and micro-processes. This also involves the determination of the level of institutional trust and the nature of its reverse effect on the political and economic situation in contemporary societies.
