Legal liability for environmental offences and infringements of the is one form of environmental safety of population, environment and natural resources management. There is the 14th chapter of the federal law about environment protection which is dedicated to the legal liability for environmental offence. It provides estate, disciplinary, administrative and criminal liability. Legal liability is an essential means of ensuring compliance with legislation on environmental protection and natural resources. Effectiveness of legal liability depends primarily on public authorities to apply measures for perpetrators of environmental legislation.
