Abstract. In Russia in recent years people reinforce struggle with Smoking the same as at the legislative level. The article considers the negative impact of Smoking on the health of the population, including the younger generation. The article presents comparative data on the prevalence of the smoking among different age groups of the population in Russia, shows the effects of the nicotine on the psychological condition and behavior, pay attention to the need of strengthening the fight against the smoking in Russia.
