The article discusses the possible consequences of monopoly for society. The main factors of monopolisation are attributed to the irrevocable loss and net gain industry market. The limiting loss of „dead weight” of monopoly power. Revealed that the appropriate government policies to be carried out by the government in relation to monopolies with the "dead weight" and X-inefficiency, must take into account the particular sector of the national economy.
