Fishing industry in Germany: supply and demand, situation and prospects of development

Abstract. The article examines the current state of the fisheries industry in Germany, characterizes its role in the economy, analyzes the consumption of fishery products in Germany, the catches of fish and fish products production, imports and exports. On the basis of measures of industry the author draws conclusions about the current and anticipated level of security the country's fish production, the levels of the characteristics of the fishing fleet catches. Statistical data are presented not only for the whole industry, but also for certain types of fish, of an activity, that allows us to consider structural parameters of the complex.
