The present paper contains an overview of main approaches towards calculation of economic effect of outsourcing for customer. It is demonstrated that in case of implementation of outsourcing for the Interior Guard of the Russian Federation the economic effect should be calculated on multi-criteria basis as it should take into account not only the budget economy but also the increase of effectiveness of the Interior Guard. This approach is used to build up a method of calculation of economic effect. It is demonstrated that outsourcing should be used only if it provides a minimal budget economy and a minimal increase of effectiveness. It is demonstrated that it is important to take into account risks. Methods of evaluation of outsourcer’s technological and geopolitical risks are proposed. A method of calculation of outsourcer’s general reliability is proposed.
